What do track layers do?

Our operational dog teams are committed to regular training and are often seeking volunteers to lay a track with their own dogs. Training will be given by a qualified team member on how to successfully lay and record the track prior to a scheduled training exercise. You may be asked to lay tracks in specific locations and during certain weather conditions.

Ground Searchers Responsibilities

If you are physically fit and would like to take an active role in our missing pet searches, we occasionally need extra ground searchers or buddies for our tracking dogs. These roles can be challenging, volunteers would need to be willing to follow instructions, undertake training and be able to devote a considerable amount of time to be part of the search team.

Join the Team

If you have a passion for dogs and are keen to get involved, please complete our volunteer application form. All roles are completely voluntary. Please be aware some of our more active roles may require you to be physically fit, be willing to drop everything to help with very little notice and you must have the understanding that some cases will demand more of your time than others.

Fill out the volunteer form to register your interest and see how you can get involved and find a role that suits you.
